GLOBAL Dana White compares Conor McGregor’s popularity to that of former boxing stars Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield
He said: "This guy, you know everybody talks about how he's the biggest guy in mixed martial arts, he's one of the biggest ever in the history of combat sports.
"He's at Tyson level, Evander Holyfield, 'Sugar' Ray Leonard. He's at that level of stardom globally, around the world.
"It's his personality. When you have Conor McGregor in a fight, the press conference is fun.
"The weigh-ins are fun, and the fights are always fun. There's no such thing as a boring Conor McGregor fight."

It has been a topic for debate whether McGregor has maintained his popularity despite his last two defeats across MMA and boxing to Khabib Nurmagomedov respectively.
Added to this has been his legal trouble.
In November, he was convicted of assault and fined €1,000.
However, McGregor himself has dismissed the idea that these incidents have led to his popularity diminishing.
He told Severe MMA that this was not the case.
McGREGOR DISAGREES
He said: “It’s all baloney, man!”
“I walk the streets, and there’s nothing but love and support.
"The real people know. I come to fight. I come to entertain. I come to put on a show for the fans.
"I do a lot for my community and that's it. I wish everyone well trying to spread mad narratives."

He told Petesy Carroll of the Eurobash MMA podcast that there was a clear distinction between what some people say about him online versus how people react to him in person.
